H. Upmann No.2 habanos are a famous cuban torpedo and has been compared to Montecristo No. 2 cuban cigars. We at Buycubancigars find them somehow similar. The wrapper on these cigars is sure oily but at the same time it’s quite rough. It is impossible not to admire the old fashion candour that marks this Habanos SA Figurado’s style. Its ever present flavours are marked by exotic spices, wood and undertones of grilled peanuts. Delicious smoke! As a good representative of cuban cigars, this vitola starts out with a slightly sweet woody flavor, diluted with a light spicy taste. The first third on the H. Upmann No2 is medium-bodied, however the power significantly increases as soon as you reach the second third on this vitola. Perceptible leather notes and dark, concentrated coffee are the main flavors on these habanos at that moment. At the end of the second third, this vitola is overwhelmingly powerful. The finish on the H.upmann No2 is somewhat heavy but still an enjoyable smoke. We at Buycubancigars think that these cuban cigars are a bit cheaper than other Habanos SA torpedos. If you get a H.Upmann No2 box with decent construction and you’re a seasoned smoker, H. Upmann No.2 might be a good deal. The strength on these cuban cigars increases with age. These habanos need years of ageing in a humidor to develop its whole potential, getting stronger as time passes by. However, Buycubancigars wouldn’t recommend this smoke to beginners for its obvious strength. Although a fair number of reviews places it above the Montecristo #2 vitola, Buycubancigars is not convinced yet. They will probably become more round and tolerant if aged 2-3 years in a humidor like we mentioned before.
