Our opinion at Buycubancigarsonline is that the Trinidad Coloniales has to be one of the most refined and well-balanced cuban cigars on the habanos market. Very smooth and creamy coffee, cedar and light earth flavours, with none standing out. Reminds us at BCC of Siglo II, but way a more subtle smoke. The Trinidad Coloniales are a real beauty with its silky and oily wrapper, the minor veins and of course the twisted cap. Looks can be deceiving, but in this case with this vitola….they weren’t. The construction of the Trinidad Coloniales cuban cigars is excellent, it is spongy, perfectly filled and has superb burning qualities along with a perfect draw. This vitola is mild-medium flavour and body with a slick dance of subtle flavours, sweet woods, coffee and chocolate develop down the smoke with fresh notes of vanilla and coconut arriving later on with a spice on the nose which heightened in the final third. The Coloniales cuban cigars are very delicious and refined habanos with complexity to the hilt. Like other Trinidad habanos they are a bit costly..of course not at BCC, but if you want a sure smoke for your money, you can’t really go wrong with these. This vitola is a must for the habanos aficionado, should be in your humidor, however realize this is an evening vitola to be smoked slowly as to not overpower you. A man’s smoke and a special taste equal to the Bolivar cuban cigars. Two thumbs up for these stogies on behalf BCC.
