Cohiba Secretos is the smallest within the maduros cuban cigar line, but is packed with a surprisingly rich bouquet of flavors. If talking about appearance, this habano looks compact, neat and accurate – that’s the first impression. The wrapper on this Cohiba is very smooth, though not really homogeneous. Makes you want to touch it again and again…that happens a lot to us here at Buycubancigars. This is no different from the other Cohiba vitolas in this series – which means, excellent. We at Buycubancigars especially like the draw on this habano which is simply perfect. A well constructed cigar with a deceptive strength. Vanilla and chocolate underscore the usual Cohiba cuban cigars layers of flavour. Basically the flavour is wonderfull, the early smoke is filled by intense cedar and black pepper characters; the amounts of smoke seem to vary considerably in the first third, but the draw is always excellent (will stay impeccable all the long). In the second third, a very rich aromatic presence, with essentially scents of wood, pepper, mushrooms and autumn leaves. The smoke gets a little bit dry in the end of the second third. The last third on this cuban cigar is fulfilling and satisfying, with the same flavors dominating. Enjoy the clouds of cedar smoke, with a touch of burnt cinnamon. An elegant habano, a very good cuban cigar overall, and Buycubancigars is sure it will be getting even better with ageing in your humidor.
