An expensive little guy….not at Buycubancigars obviously, but this cuban Cohiba has a great reputation. True to its kinship, the Cohiba Siglo I cuban cigars marries premium Havana tobacco with experienced craftsmanship. This Cohiba had an oily Colorado shade wrapper, which was nicely applied. It appeared to be well made. The blend chosen by the blend master is simple but effective in releasing notes of wood, dry tobacco and coarse salt. This Demi Corona cigar is short, relatively thin and can be smoked very quickly. Interestingly, in all its brevity this cuban cigar still manages to maintain an incomparable Cohiba habano elegance making it ever so interesting. During the 1st half the draw is a little tight, but it opens up nicely once past the midpoint. This cuban cigar has a fairly straight burn. The head seems loosely packed, but this is not the case with the rest of the cigar. This cuban cigar starts out creamy, but has a lingering bitterness behind it. It is surprisingly peppery as well. The 2nd half on this Siglo I habano features some nice changes in flavor with the bitterness fading away and espresso taking the place of the pepper. This Cohiba Siglo I tastes like a latte by the time the end is reached. Outstandingly complex. It should age gracefully. Overall, if you can afford it and enjoy half coronas, BCC say it’s a definite box buy. For fancy palates looking for the ferrari in Habanos brand, the Siglo I is the best option when enough time is not available. BCC has this habano always in stock in presentation of 25 cigar box.
