An all time favorite at Buycubancigars. The H.Upmann Magnum 46 cuban cigars are one of the most consistently enjoyed smokes available in the habanos market. On sight this H.Upmann vitola is very attractive. These Cuban cigars features gorgeous cocoa colored wrapper that has an evenly oiled sheen. The ruggedness in these Magnum 46 habanos is brought out by a consistent amount of veins although none of them are overly imposing. A slight wrinkled appearance gives the wrapper on the H.Upmann Magnum 46 cuban cigars some character but does not detract from the overall look or construction. These Magnum 46 habanos are beautifully complimented by the simple red and gold embossed band it is very striking. Cleanly cutting through the triple cap releases prelight flavors of a slight sweetness with mild pepper tone. Upon lighting this gives way to butter and spice in this H.Upmann Magnum 46 vitola. Earth notes join the party with a subtle mint undertone. As this smoke fades into an almost nutty flavor we at BCC cannot help but admire the construction. A razor burn and excellent draw leave behind a wake of solid gray ash on these H.Upmann habanos. Although it is a bit dry of a smoke, the consistently changing flavors on these H.Upmann Magnum 46 cuban cigars are able to be brought out by drinking some quality water every once in a while, Buycubancigars recommends Perrier. Moving into the second third of these cuban cigars unleashes a spice burst for a while but fades back into nuttiness. Mild hints of ginger linger after this change, which continues into the half way mark. At about the halfway point of the Magnum 46 habanos, the ash comes off for the first time. The spiciness of these H.Upmann habanos takes charge again and overcomes most other flavors. After a short while the Magnum 46 subsides just enough to let a mild sweetness, perhaps vanilla, show itself. Despite the sweetness this H.Upmann does finish out its course with a healthy amount of spice, which is not the most enjoyable aspect of this smoke, again this is just BCC opinion..,may not be yours. BCC insist….solid construction and an outstanding appearance make these cuban cigars easy to look but the flavor is what knocks you away! Typically Buycubancigars gravitates towards cuban cigars with complex flavors that maintain a solid baseline and these habanos fit that bill to a “T”. The spice of this vitola serves to tie the entire smoke together while the nuttiness, earth, ginger and vanilla add excitement. The H. Upmann Magnum 46 cuban cigars are truly an amazing experience. Throughout this entire vitola we at Buycubancigars keep reveling in the fact that we have boxes of these cuban cigars waiting in our humidor to try in future years. Overall and as a recap, this is a delicious medium-light bodied vitola featuring a cedar and somehow salty beginning, even better spicy pepper chocolate ending. Rich and creamy cuban cigars for sure. Traditional Habanos SA flavors is what you will find. Medium-strong smoke, but smooth with leather, spice and complexity. Lots of thick smoke and nice aftertaste are featured in these habanos.
